For anyone interested, this is Tommy's room. It's finally finished. We started about a year ago, digging a hole, putting in a full size window, patching drywall, painting, and finally (t0day) got the pictures up. Timbo will eventually share the room, so I had to make it semi-neutral. It's a fun room.

If I keep moving I'll get warmer, right?
Tommy's first soccer game EVER. He did so good. I was so proud to watch him play. It was cold outside, but not as cold as Savana's game was. The kids actually played for almost an hour. I made friends with a couple other parents and we formed a cheering section (really it was to keep us warm by jumping up and down). Tommy helped to score the very first goal, and just for icing on top, our team, the RAPTORS, defeated the other team with a score of 2-1. I am so excited for the rest of the season.
(see video below... He's the kid with the gray hood on and is all over the place.)
SAVANA STAR- LITERALLY
Today was Savana's very first soccer game. She is my little princess but she decided she wanted to try soccer. We bundled up and went to the game. It was about 5 degrees outside and the windchill was worse. All the kids were crying, especially Timbo and Siera. It chilled right to the bone. I was so proud of Savana- even though she was freezing she braved the cold to play for the whole 5 minutes before they called it quits. We all ran home, got some hot cocoa and sat in front of the fire (its so nice to have that now!) Maybe next week will be better, I mean WARMER!!
(She was so cold, and so brave!)
Happy Easter Everyone
We all had fun coloring our Easter eggs. I had fun trying to keep Timbo from breaking the eggs, and from drinking the dye. He was a little upset when we ran out of eggs, and everytime we told him no. This is his heartbreaking sad face. Tommy, Savana and Avery were very artistic with their eggs- double colors, pictures and names all went on their eggs. Siera was making sure hers were very bold. All the eggs were beautiful. The kids even liked to eat them too! (Bonus)

Sunday Sunday Sunday!!!
Mission Complete...Almost!
Here is our lovely basement!! As you can see we have an improperly working wood stove, and some stone and tile that will take you back to the 70's! I don't know if that is where you want to go. Anyways, we decided, since we were freezing, that we would update our basement. The walls are extremely textured and this paint was tan with a darker glaze, the room was a dark, cold hole. Here are some pictures of the demolition, renovation and completion.

And here we are...Finished!!!! Here are a few pictures of the new room. I still have a few things to add, like curtains and some more decorations- you can NEVER have enough! But at least it is warm and cozy!! It's nice to have a working pellet stove, it keeps us pretty warm and cozy!!
