Each year the kids get to perform for the parents and the rest of the school. Sometimes it's a holiday theme, or it's just something they are learning in school. This year, for the FIRST GRADE, Siera got to sing songs about going to the zoo. It was fabulous. I loved watching her perform. She is so funny. When each song was over I would cheer for her (if anyone knows me, they know it's LOUD), well she gets embarrassed rather easily, especially with that- so, I only do what any good parent would do- I keep doing it!!! And without fail, after every song she would blush and cover her ears!! I love it. I tried to get some video, but I was laughing so hard it isn't very good. Sorry- you'll just have to imagine it!
Right after Siera's performance Timothy and I headed out to his class field trip to the local pet store. It was of course cold and windy, but that doesn't ever stop the kids from having fun. On little girl, Brooke, was so excited to hold that silly tarantula- funny thing, she was the only one brave enough, Timbo wouldn't even look at it!!! They have all kinds of fun animals, this monkey (Chi-Chi) has been there for a long time, she is over 30 years old! My favorite part was seeing all the babies, especially the goats. After all the fun with the animals we headed over to get some ice cream- YES, THEY WASHED THEIR HANDS!! Timothy and his friend Caleb had so much fun with the ice cream- and of course, it always ends up all over his face. He is just so darned cute, even with a dirty face! Love that kid!

Since I have MAJOR catching up to do, I am going to do it journal style. We have had so much going on I really haven't had a minute to stop. So, since I have a few minutes today I will try to fill the world in on how we have been doing for the last few weeks...
First, was the Mother's Day program at Timothy's pre-school. They were so cute. They sang us "you are my sunshine" and gave us cute little cards. Each child got to tell his/her Mom why they loved them. Timbo came up to me and whispered "I love you because you make good breakfasts!!" It was a common theme among the kids, so we mom's must be amazing cooks. I sure love that kid- and the other 3 too. They all brought cute gifts home- Tommy made me a card and a drawing with a magnet, Savana also made me a tie dye butterfly magnet, and Siera made me a beautiful card. I love when my kids are so proud of the things that they do, especially when they put thought into the things that I like.

Second, later that evening we ended up having dinner at McDonald's. I'm not a big fan but when it's to support our teachers, it's a good enough reason to go. Mrs. Haber was the kid's Kindergarten teacher, they all love her- here's hoping Timothy gets her next year. Then Mr. Watson, the new principle, was so willing to pose with the kids. He really has done a great job and the kids just love him.

Finally, after our quick trip to McDonald's we headed to the field for one of Tommy's games. He is such an amazing soccer player. I just love to watch him play. His team, the VYPERS, have had a great season, they only lost 3 games total. And during the tournament they came in 2nd place (they should've been first, but oh-it's a long story). We have loved having Coach Thomas as Tommy's coach, but unfortunately this season was the last one together on this team. In the fall Tommy goes to the competitive league and will be on a different team and have a different coach. Thankfully we got a picture of their team- one last time!

I have to tell you, this creeped me out. I thought to myself, let me take a picture of this cool spider, and I'll even practice some new skills- yeah, that spider was looking at me with those 4 eyes and I almost dropped the camera. Thank goodness he didn't jump on me or I would have!!
