Gopher Holes

I looked out the window and what did I see, the cutest little gophers staring at me.
So i took out my camera and snapped a few pictures of them, wouldn't you?

Trinity Hale
Andrew Thuernagle
Siera Rayne
and THE cutest gopher in the whole entire world!!

"Hey Buddy"

Josh and I have been working on a big project outside... a fence! Timothy has been more than helpful but one day he found a ladybug on a fencepost. He kept saying "Hey buddy" and letting it crawl all over him. It was the cutest thing. Finally the bug flew away and all Timbo could do was say "Hey Buddy where you going?"
What a cutie- and at least he isn't afraid of bugs!!!!!

Fun at the Fair

We love this time of year. The leaves are starting to turn, the weather is getting a little cooler and the State Fair comes to Town. This year I submitted a photo of Elyssa into the photography show- no ribbons but definetely a cool experience. Now I know what to do different for next year. Anyways, as tradition we all go to the fair on Labor Day- probably one of the most crowded days, but still tradition. So Josh and I and the kids, along with Emily, Elyssa and Randy we braved the fair. It was cool outside, which was a nice relief, and we just had so much fun. It was so fun to watch the kids see all the animals- that's our favorite part. Timbo was HILARIOUS with the goats. Nanny of course loved the horses, and Siera was excited about the bunnies. Tommy was just glad to be there and touch everything. If you ask the kiddos, the best part was the cotton candy and Tiger ears- sugar of course! WE all had a great time- Elyssa and Randy even won the Lottery (they got each other!!!)

Lottery winners and farmers kids

The Happy Older couple (Since Gary and Dayle didn't come Josh and I got designated as the oldest couple there)
Enjoying the fruits of the Fair..... mmmm sugar!

Timbo was sharing EVERYTHING and Tommy ate an entire Tiger ear by himself

Such ladies!!

Checking out the animals...

Super Pooper Troopers (thats what the activity was... How redneck are we?)

Tommy and Savana milking a cow-- awesome right?

Can't leave out the baby...

Being the youngest and the only one home (at least for a few hours each week) poor Timothy was feeling left out... of the pictures. So today we had some fun with the camera and of course some gummi bears. They are his favorite!!!

SCHOOL!!

Ok, the time has FINALLY come... School is here at last!!!!!!!! I'm not excited or anything. Tomas is starting 2nd grade this year and is really excited to be in the same class with a lot of his friends. His teacher is Mrs. Page- and she is awesome. This year should be great- he is responsible for making sure his sister gets to and from school, so we'll see how that goes, so far so good. I can't believe how big he is!!

My little Savana, and I do mean little, tinsy, my baby girl going to 1st grade. I think it should be illegal for her to grow up so fast. Nevertheless, she has graduated from kindergarten and should rightfully move up to the next level... She LOVES recess- so much that she has decided that eating lunch gets in the way of her playing. She'll learn--- hopefully. She has a new teacher this year, HIS name is Mr. Muckerman and she thinks he's cool! Oops, I promised I wouldn't tell! He has a frog, which to a kid is the most awesome thing EVER!!

If Savana is growing up way too fast then Siera is right on her heels... She is starting her second year of pre-school... Today was her first day. She has been waiting, and waiting, and waiting to go. She loves to play with the other kids, and Mrs. Jen- YOU ROCK!!

Timothy is bummed because all the other kids are at school and I am dull and boring... He'll get his chance to leave next year, but for the time being I will enjoy my baby while he is still a baby!!

Happy School Year to everyone!

Party Hardy

There is nothing in this world like a good party. The kids begged and pleaded and plotted for a final end of the summer party. The girls, being girls, wanted a tea party. And Tommy wanted a water party. And so it was done. We made invitations and delivered them, and with my amazing planning skills went shopping for supplies 30 minutes before said parties. I know- it's amazing they were a success. The girls had cookies and candy and little cracker sandwiches. I have to give an amazing THANK YOU Kelsie Burrup. Thank you for coming to a little kid tea party, you seriously made their day. Then after "tea" and snacks we ventured downstairs for some HOT POTATO and MUSICAL CHAIRS. It was so cool even the boys wanted to play.

The boys I let loose. We set up water grenades and filled up their water guns and then I left them to themselves. It's a good thing cuz they got WET!! I know it's a given when you are playing with water but, it was drastic. As long as they had fun was all that mattered. After awhile I brought out the popsicles for a snack, but with a bunch of boys it just wasn't enough. They finished off what was left of the tea party and the rest of the cake balls from Elyssa's wedding and anything else they could get their hands on. I'm just glad they all had fun and then they all went home. All 15 of them!!! ( I had to keep 5 cuz they were mine)

All in all it was a good way to say good-bye to Summer and Hello School!!
