Sprinklers and Sparklers
Since Josh can't be with us on the Fourth of July we decided to take what fireworks we had leftover from previous years (a lot of them were really old) and light them. The kids had fun and so did we. But we are really excited about the big fireworks show!!

I can't believe how big Savana has gotten. This year for her birthday, (since it's an odd year) she wanted to have some friends go with her to a movie. So Josh and I braved the dollar theater with 10 children. (Tommy asked us how it would be if we had that many children in our family- we said "I don't think so"!) We went to go see "How to train your dragon"- and it was cute. Then we came back for cake, ice cream and presents. Savana picked out flower pot cakes, they have everything inside, and they were so yummy. She had a grand time with her friends- and her siblings too!
Later that night we went swimming with the family- it was a lot of fun, but sorry no pictures! She sure had a fun filled birthday! Happy Birthday Sweetie!

Here fishy fishy
The weather finally turned nice for a minute so we decided to go fishing. It took a long time to find a good spot- being memorial day and all the good spots were taken. We finally found this quiet little spot and we were all by ourselves. There were great rocks to climb, and it really was beautiful. It's a shame we didn't catch anything, but there is always next time!

Lions and Tigers and BEARS...
A teeny tiny vacation
Saturday, June 12, 2010-
It was early when we left, we wanted to make it down to Utah to spend some time with my parents and brother w/his family- We hardly get to see them. So we piled in the car and headed towards Salt Lake. We met up with my Dad and Jasmine (and the boys) at the Planetarium. We got to watch an IMAX movie, which was pretty cool. The kids really liked the 3-D effects. Then we took a lovely walk (to find a bathroom) then rode the TRAX for about a block. We grabbed something to eat at the new "mall" and then headed to the aquarium. We got to see LOTS of fun animals- snakes, bugs, lizards of all kinds, tropical fish, an octopus, sea horses, etc. We even got to pet some sting rays!!! It's always so much fun to see that stuff yourself, but then to watch the kids enjoy it so much makes it all that much better! Then we had to say goodbye to Jas and the boys, and we headed to Great Grandmas for dinner. One of my favorite things is talking with my grandma, and this was no exception- we had dinner, the kids played and the grown ups chatted away until finally the kids were whining to go home- that never happens! So it was a short day, but loads of fun! It's always a treat to see my family.
