I HATE STAIRS!!

So I will admit to all that I am clumsy. I have never been very graceful, and I really just go about things without really paying attention, so it was inevitable that I would fall and hurt myself. This last Saturday, I was cleaning the house and doing laundry- being a good wife- and as I was going down the stairs my slipper caught the stair and my ankle went forward with a pop, the laundry basket (with about 20lbs of clothes I might add) landed on my foot, I yelled in pain. Ok, I screamed and cried and threw a fit. Anyways, that brought the kids over to check on me and they too landed on my foot. So, being the big boy he is, Tommy took control of the situation. He called Josh and told him to come home cuz I fell and hurt myself.
Josh got home, carried me up the stairs and took me to the urgent care. 6 xrays and 3 hours later I was wheeled out of the urgent care with a snazzy boot for my ankle. Thankfully there was no noticeable break, but the doc said I had to wear the boot until they figured out if there was a small break. I'm guessing there wasn't cuz my foot feels lots better, and they never called.
I have NEVER sprained an ankle before, and I don't ever want to do it again. IT HURTS!!!

Ok, so I had to whine a little and let everyone know that I am the world's biggest clutz and that it was doing laundry that did it. Stinking laundry!!!!!

Its ok if you laugh- I am!!!

BACK TO SCHOOL

OH I can't believe it. School is here!!!!!!!!! I couldn't be happier. I'm excited not only to have a few less children during the day but I am really happy that they are going to be learning new things and making new friends.

Tomas is in a combined 1st class so his teachers are Miss Winder and Miss Chandler. He has about 40 kids in his class, but he will do well. His favorite part is being able to eat in the cafeteria and 3 recesses!!!

Savana is in Kindergarten and has Mrs. Haber, and in the morning class. She was very excited to go and didn't even say goodbye when the bell rang. Oh well, she had so much fun. She was a little bummed that they couldn't have a longer recess but it will get better.

Siera is starting Pre-School this year, with Mrs. Jen. She is very excited. She doesn't start until Sept 5th but since I was taking the other kids pictures she had to as well. She asks every day when she can go to school. It's only 2 days a week, but she will have fun.

Timothy is NOT going to school but he can't be left out of anything, so I will grace you all with his cuteness!!

Visit from the Gardners

Almost two weeks ago now we got a short visit from my brother Bob and his beautiful wife and two adorable kids. We just had dinner and played for a few minutes and went to bed and said our goodbyes in the morning, but we had a blast. The adults played hand and foot (a card game) and the boys kicked the girls butts and then when we played as couples, the gardners kicked our butts. But we had so much fun being around family. My kids just love MR. (Michael Robert) and Josiah, they don't get to play together very often though.
Anyways, Thanks Gardner's for stopping by we loved having you! You can visit any time!!

The only pictures I got were all the cousing picnicing on the kitchen floor eating pudding!!

Our Last HOORAH!!!!

Well, we decided as a family that we would all get together to go swimming one more time before school started and real life began again. So to Lava we went. The kids love to swim and we as parents, uncles, aunts, and cousins love to get together and play. Timothy FINALLY loved the pool. He has hated the water the whole summer. But we gave him floaties and he wanted to swim by himself. Savana and Siera were born for the water- with their floaties on they have no fear. They jump in, go off slides, dunk themselves and Savana even does backflips!!! Tomas is a whole other story (see below). We had a blast and I'm glad we decided to go one more time.

(Savana was doing cartwheels under the water)
Now for Tomas... He knows how to swim thanks to a few weeks of swimming lessons. We have made him swim without floaties to keep practicing, and he does a really good job. He likes to be able to touch the bottom though so he stays mostly on the shallow side. He also likes to jump in the water from the side of the pool. So the time before this we went and I told him he had to jump off the diving board. He was SCARED!!!! But we practiced jumping into deep water and having him swim so he was ready, until he looked off the end of the board. He would get almost to the end and freak out and start crying- I was a little embarrassed but I knew that would probably happen. I didn't want him to just give up though, so using my love and logic technique I gave him choices, he could either stand by the diving board and watch everyone else have fun or he could jump off one time and go play. He said "That's not fair, you need to give me better choices". So i did. I said "You can jump off the high dive or the low dive." That wasn't any better in his eyes. He just kept watching all the big kids jump, dive, flip and do other crazy tricks and he wasn't about to do any of that. So after about 30 minutes, and 3 tries on the board we told him he could sit on the end and jump that way. Avery showed him how to do it and that was all it took. He plunged into the water and came out with a huge smile on his face and said "THAT WAS FREAKING AWESOME!!!" Needless to say I couldn't get him off the board for the rest of the day. He only sat on the end twice and then was standing and by the end of the day doing little tricks. So this time we went with DADDY to show him what a brave boy he has, and I brought the camera so I could show off my boy. I think he is the cutest thing to ever go off the diving board, but maybe that's just me!!!!

I'm so proud of HIM!!!!

OUR TEENAGE DATE!!

So, thanks to my cousin Jamie, Josh and I got to go to Lagoon on a discount, and to make it better it was just the two of us!!! (Well, we did go with Elyssa and her friend Chandra). We had sooooooooo much fun. We braved the new WICKED ride! It looks extremely scary but it is way fun. We rode almost every ride at the park. If anyone has ever been to Lagoon knows about Pioneer Village, the home of the log ride and really good ice cream. They also take old time photos... I have always wanted to do this, but it's pricey so I never have. But, since this was a momentous occasion, we decided it was worth it. So for about 10 minutes I was a saloon girl and Josh was an outlaw. It was tons of fun!!!!!

I did have a few other pictures to post but due to my stupidity in computer things I ended up deleting all of the other pictures I had. I'm pretty bummed, but oh well, what can you do?
I hope you enjoy the pictures....Let us know what you think.

Welcome to the world of Horses!!

Let me introduce 3 of my favorite horse people...
There is Dayle, my mother-in-law on Dusty, Emily, my sis-in-law on Printz and Elyssa, my other sis-in law on Charlie. They are involved in what is called Posse. It's a horse riding club, and they get together every week during the summer to practice drills and games and just plain fun. Then at the end of the summer they compete against other riding clubs from around the State. A couple of weeks ago they competed in the District meet and did AWESOME!!! They took first place in a lot of things. This meet is the State meet. And again they did AMAZINGLY AWESOME!!!!!! They took first overall. They are really good. Emily and Elyssa have been riding and showing horses for years, but this is Dayle's first year and she did great. We are all so proud!!!

This is Dayle and Dusty- isn't he such a pretty horse?
Emily was the drill master, the one in-charge. Then Elyssa running Charlie!!!

And of course the cutest fan in the stands!!!!!

Here is a video of the grand entrance. There were well over 100 horses/riders in the arena doing criss cross patterns and running around. It was crazy, but they pulled it off-it was cool.

Utah AGAIN?

Well, yes we did make it down to Utah for a 4th time this summer. Another special occasion arose and we just had to be there. My grandpa turned 80 years old. What an awesome thing.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Gardner. We all love you!!!

Anyways, we wanted to have a little fun in Utah before the party so we found the Tracy Aviary. Its a really cool bird zoo. The kids had so much fun. It was hot, but they love birds. They even had an albino peacock. I've never seen anything like it before. The kids got to feed the pelicans, they really liked that even though they had to throw in fish. Timbo loved screaming and pointing at every single bird. We went to a bird show, it was a lot of fun.

(There is a bald eagle, albino peacock, bird in nest outside the bathroom, the boys, golden eagle, peacocks, the pelican food, the girls, and a cute pelican (his mouth can hold more than his belly can))

Outside of the Aviary there is a tiny little amusement park. Well its really just a couple of rides. So Siera rode on the planes with Timbo, the cars with Savana and the Ferris Wheel with Tomas. Then Tommy, Savana and Timbo got to ride the Carousel. It was great fun.

Here is just a little video of the kids on the Carousel. I'm not sure yet if Timbo had fun. He kind of had a scared look on his face and had a death grip on the pole.

After all that fun in the sun, we headed to the Gardner house. We got to see a lot more family that we haven't seen in a long time. I saw my cousin Beau, my uncle Darrell and aunt Dawn with their kids Laura, Sarah and Michael, then I saw my cousin's wife, Gina and their two kids, Riley and Taylor. Then my cousin Heather with her kids, Preston, Savannah, Tanner and Addison. My other cousin Jen and her kids, Mckylee, Stockton and Stetson. Then I saw Bob and Jasmine (my brother) with MR. and Josiah- by the way they are both ADORABLE! I also saw my aunt Val, aunt Milly, uncle Mike and then my cousin Jodi came at the end. And of course my grandparents. There was a lot of people there and we had so much fun. The kids ran and played, there was bubbles, and a pinata and FUDGE from Kirtland for the grown-ups. I always love to spend time with my family. Happy Birthday again Grandpa. Thank you for all you do for us!!!!!
