Hair today Gone Tomorrow!!

I took the kids to get their hair cuts. They were getting a little scroungy (is that a word?) so we finally went. Siera looks amazing with short hair but she wants her hair like rapunzel so she wouldn't let us cut it too short. She looks beautiful.

Savana wants to grow her hair out again, so we just evened everything up to make it easier to grow out.

And Timothy just looks like a big boy- I don't know if I can take it!!

Happy Easter

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. It's one of my favorite holidays, just because its a national day to celebrate our Savior, Jesus Christ. It's one thing to celebrate something in your home, with your family, but to have Christ's death and resurrection acknowledged and celebrated world wide is just fantastic. It's one of those times when we are of one mind and the world just seems a little bit better- even for just one day.

We had a great Easter. Saturday was the day for dying the eggs. I was by myself for this one so the kids only got 4 eggs each to dye- it was enough for me!! But they had fun, and made a huge mess- that's really all that matters right? (who cares about a mother's sanity)
Then Sunday we woke up early to get all dolled up. I love to get the girls dolled up for Church, they only let me on rare occasions and this was one of them so I took advantage of it. Josh and I bought the kids new Church clothes. A tradition passed down to always get a new Easter dress every year. I even got one-- LIME GREEN!! Timothy picked it out. I know you think I'm crazy for letting a toddler determine my wardrobe, but I let him pick between two that I liked- he did a good job!!
After church we went to Grammy's house for fun in the sun- i know it was odd to have sunshine and warmth- then easter egg hunt, and a fabulous dinner. I love spending time with family.
And to my mom and dad and brother and sister and their families--I love you too!!

I couldn't get the best pictures of their outfits, but I promise I will!! Family pictures will come soon, as soon as it warms up a little.

Mischief Managed-- and RECORDED!!!

There is a period of time in which my camera has disappeared and when it is returned I find not one, or two new pictures on it, but hundreds of new pictures. As I sift through them there are actually a few that are cute. Its surprising though what the kids will record themselves doing. Even if they know they aren't supposed to,,. Like jumping on the bed for instance.

Family Conference

I just love conference weekend. Not only do we get to gather to listen to our prophet speak, but we also get to reunite with family. Or at least I did. My grandma called me Friday and asked me to come to lunch- doesn't seem like a big deal, but she does live in Utah so it's a commute. But I love my grandparents, and any time they ask me to come, I'm there. (They don't ask very often) When I got there, my cousin Rocky and his wife, Amanda and their little baby, Kade were there. It was awesome to see them. It was my first time meeting Amanda and Kade, and I haven't seen Rocky since my WEDDING 8+ years ago. Needless to say we had fun. All my Aunts and Uncles were there and most of my cousins and their kids.

(There was a question raised. If I have children and my cousin has children- what are they to each other? Are they second cousins or cousins once removed? If anyone can answer that I'd be appreciative.)
My other cousin Beau- he got his mission call to the Ukraine. He leaves in June and we wish him luck, and warmth and to have a good time.

Overall, we had a GREAT time, and it was definitely worth the drive. My kids had such a great time, as did I. Thanks Grandma for the invite.

GO horsey GO

Pretty much every Sunday we head out to my in-laws house for dinner and to just hang out. They have several horses, and in the summer we like to ride them, or at least the kids do. As you can tell by the snow in the background we aren't quite to summer yet, but the ground at least wasn't a mud hole AND Elyssa was there to help us. So i brought my trusty camera to get pics of the kids riding Charlie (Josh calls her Chuck and I think she likes it).

Tommy can actually ride himself- when the horses have been worked out a little.

Siera at least had a coat on!! She LOVES to ride horses.

Little Samantha Shae- She was so cold, but she would NOT give up her turn.


And finally Timbo- FIRST time rider. LOVED every second of it- all 20 of them!!!

A Brief explanation of this video-- you may wonder who this is and why is it on my blog. Answers... Yes I do know her, her name is Chandra and she is Elyssa's friend. She was staying with Elyssa that weekend and is TERRIFIED of horses. But we finally convinced her to get over her fear and get on. I still laugh when I watch it!!! You rock Chandra!!
